Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colour is one of the longest standing  art prizes and is over 200 years old. The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours seeks the best in contemporary watercolour and water media painting. Contestants have to be 18 years old or older.

Materials
Water soluble mediums such as watercolour, acrylic, ink or guoache. Water soluble oil paint is not accepted.
All paintings must be painted on paper or paper based support.

Deadline
The deadline is January 28th 2022

Prizes
Winsor and Newton Award 3000 pounds
Winsor and Newton product Prize worth 1000 pounds
The Leathersellers Prize is 1000 pounds for artists aged between  18 and 30 years of age
The President’s Choice Award is 750 pounds
The Baohong Artists’watercolour paper prizes are 250 pounds (2 x 250 pounds)
The Cass Art Prize: 250 pounds (for the most innovative use of colour)
The Chaoshan Watercolour Award is 250 pounds for the best classically inspired watercolour.
