Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Roman: “I am an artist living and working in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I was good in drawing as long as I can remember, but I wanted to become an engineer after school, so I entered the technical university, but I left it after a year and started to learn to draw in Herzen.”
When did you start painting?
Roman: “I started at the age of 6 or 7 years old.”
What kind of materials do you use?
Roman: “Paper, charcoal, dry brush, pastel and pencil.”
What kind of subjects do you like to paint?
Roman: “I like to draw ladies with lush hair, because I can use all my technical tricks with brushes and textures.”
Did you study art?
Roman: “Yes, I graduaded Herzen state University in 2014.”
Is art an hobby or a career?
Roman: “I don’t work anywhere officially, but I can’t say it’s a hobby, It’s my life.”
Have you exhibited your artwork?
Roman: “Yes, at ARTlife Moscow 2021”
Wich artists do you admire?
Roman: “Andy Virgil, René Gruau, Valentin Serov, Boris Kustodiev.”
I also teach drawing, I love to teach and to share my knowledge to my students. I love to see how they grow and develop.
