Raymond: “I am a self-taught artist living and working in Vancouver, BC, Canada.”

When did you start painting?
Raymond: ” I started paining in 1998.”

What art materials do you use?
Raymond: “I use artist grade oils on wooden panels, canvas and paper.”

What kind of subjects do you paint?
Raymond: “I paint representational landscapes. I like to distill the landscape and emphasize the chaos in nature.”

Fun Fact?
Raymond: ” I play vinyl records in the studio to ensure that I stop and step back every 20 minutes.”

Have you exhibited your art work?
Yes, during the Annual Eastside Culture Crawl Open Studios for over 7 years, in the Fort Gallery and in the Port Moody Art Centre
Sidney and Gertrude Zack Gallery (with Penny Eisenberg).

Which artists do you admire?
Raymond: “Klimt, Van Gogh, Group of Seven, Boggess”
