Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Katherine: “My name is Katherine Galbraith and I live in Westfield, New York in the USA.

When did you start painting?
Katherine: “When I was a very young child.”

What materials and tools do you use?
Katherine: “I use oil paints (Vasari and Michael Harding and Rublev), and long flat and long filbert brushes by Rosemary & Co., and stretch and prime my own linen canvases.”

What subjects do you paint?
Katherine: “I love to paint living things, especially people, animals, and things that grow.”

Where did you go to art school?
Katherine: “I attended the National Academy of Design in NYC on a scholarship where I studied under Daniel Greene, NA.”

Is art a hobby or career for you?
Katherine: “It is a lifelong career and calling.”

Fun Fact
Katherine: “I’m goofy and clumsy, but I’m not a bad public speaker.”

Have you exhibited your art work?
Katherine: “Yes, since I’ve been a professional artist for at least 50 years, I’ve had quite a few one woman shows. I also participate regularly in juried exhibitions by Oil Painters of America, the Portrait Society of America, American Women Artists, National Oil & Acrylic Painters and Women Artists of the West.”
